Who we are
InstallsUp is the trading name of Eco4HomeUK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number: 15264374). Our registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Eco4HomeUK Ltd trading as InstallsUp, and “you” refers to anyone who visits installsup.com or contacts us about our services.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The personal data we collect
We collect personal data in two ways: what you give us directly, and what is collected automatically when you use this website.
Information you give us directly
When you send an enquiry form on this site, you provide your name, business name, email address, phone number and any details you choose to share. The form is processed by Netlify Forms and sent to us so we can respond. When you book a call with us, Calendly handles the booking on its own website; see Calendly’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) for how they handle booking data.
If you contact us by email or otherwise, we’ll hold whatever information you send us for as long as it’s needed to respond to you.
When you request a PDF resource, Netlify Forms processes your name, business email and consent choice. We use these details to handle your resource request. Marketing emails are optional and are only included if you select the separate checkbox on the form. You can ask us to stop these emails at any time by contacting contact@installsup.com.
Information collected automatically
When you browse this website, we and the third-party services listed below may automatically collect: your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and time spent on them, the site or search engine that referred you here, and a general location inferred from your IP address. None of this identifies you personally unless it’s combined with other information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files (or, in some cases, values stored in your browser’s local storage) that let a website remember information about your visit. We only load non-essential tracking after you give consent through the cookie banner shown when you first visit the site. You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer on smaller screens, or the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner on desktop.
The table below sets out the categories of cookie used on this site.
| Category | Purpose | Set by | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again. Stored only in your browser and never sent to us. | InstallsUp (this website) | Until you clear your browser storage or change your choice |
| Statistics | Understands how visitors use the site, so we can improve it (Google Analytics) | Up to 2 years | |
| Marketing | Measures advertising visits and actions (Meta Pixel and OpenAI Pixel for ChatGPT Ads), and identifies businesses visiting the site (Leadsy) | Meta, OpenAI, Leadsy | Varies by provider and technology; see the provider information below |
How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Respond to enquiries and manage bookings
- Operate, maintain and secure this website
- Understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it (with your consent)
- Measure advertising visits and actions using Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and OpenAI Pixel for ChatGPT Ads (with your consent)
- Provide requested resources and the related follow-up you agree to on the resource form
- Identify businesses that have visited the site, so we can follow up about our services (with your consent)
- Meet our legal obligations
Where we rely on your consent (statistics and marketing cookies), you can withdraw it at any time with no effect on the lawfulness of anything already done. Where we rely on legitimate interest (for example, keeping the site secure) or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (for example, responding to a booking enquiry), we’ve considered that this doesn’t unfairly override your own rights and interests.
Sharing your data
We share limited personal data with the following third parties, only for the purposes described above:
- Google (Google Analytics): website usage statistics. See Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Meta (Meta Pixel): advertising measurement. See Meta’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- OpenAI (OpenAI Pixel for ChatGPT Ads): advertising measurement, including page views and actions such as reaching an enquiry confirmation or clicking a booking link. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Leadsy: visitor identification for sales follow-up. Contact us if you need more information about this provider.
- Netlify Forms: processes enquiry and resource-request submissions so they can be sent to us.
- Calendly: call scheduling. Bookings take place on Calendly’s own website; see Calendly’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
If you book a call, Calendly’s own integration with Meta may share limited information, such as the fact that a booking took place, with Meta, to help us understand which advertising leads to bookings.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone else except where required by law.
International transfers
Some of the third parties above, including Google and Meta, may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, they do so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent standard contractual clauses. Contact the relevant provider directly for details of their own safeguards.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Cookie and analytics data is retained according to the durations set out in the cookie table above, or the relevant provider’s own retention policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request that we delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we use your data
- Request that we transfer your data to another provider (data portability)
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
Managing your cookie preferences
You can change your cookie choice using Cookie settings in the footer on smaller screens, or the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner on desktop. Rejecting non-essential cookies stops this site from loading its tracking scripts on subsequent page loads. You can also block or delete cookies already stored through your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or service. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. We’d encourage you to check back occasionally.
